Emu Plains Complex Home Modification

The Project

In Emu Plains, on Sydney's western edge, PNP Group delivered a complex home modification that paired a full bathroom upgrade with a custom wrap-around accessible ramp. The brief was simple: make the home easier to move through without turning it into a clinical space.

Inside, the bathroom used integrated grab rails, a wide cavity slider for barrier-free entry, and a layout that gave the participant much more room to move. The finishes were deliberately modern, with grey tiles, chrome fixtures, and a timber vanity that kept the room feeling like a regular family bathroom rather than a disability retrofit.

Outside, the ramp wrapped around the house and was built to blend with the property's existing look while still meeting the functional needs of wheelchair access.

The Company

PNP Group works across Sydney and regional NSW on NDIS home modifications, complex bathroom builds, and access ramps. Their project style is highly design-led, which matters when a client wants access without losing the feel of home.

Why This Matters

A lot of people think accessibility means compromise. This project shows the opposite: a ramp and bathroom can improve safety while still looking polished and intentional. That combination is especially valuable when a modification needs to be lived with every day, not just passed through on the way to another room.
